In conjunction with Greenwood Leflore Emergency Management Agency (GLEMA) as part of our Emergency Operations Plan and accreditation requirements, Greenwood Leflore Hospital participated in a training exercise to practice our response to a real emergency situation. Annually the hospital is required to conduct hazard vulnerability assessments to meet these requirements. The purpose of the exercise is to protect our patients and staff in the event of a real emergency. During the exercise, the hospital continued with patient care and procedures as scheduled. We appreciate GLEMA and area law and fire officials for conducting this exercise to prepare the hospital for any type of incident.
