Greenwood Leflore Hospital is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners appointed by the city and county. Day to day operations of the hospital are under the direction of Jim Jackson, Executive Director, and Dawne Holmes, our Chief Financial Officer, oversees the hospital’s finances.
Jim Jackson – Executive Director
James H. Jackson, Jr., CPA, became the Executive Director in September 2009 after serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Associate Director of Finance since February 2000. Jim is a 1982 graduate of Pillow Academy in Greenwood, MS and earned a Bachelor of Professional Accounting degree from Mississippi State University in 1986. Jim’s experience includes nine years in public accounting with two firms, Arthur Andersen & Co. in New Orleans, LA and Nail, McKinney, Tate & Robinson in Tupelo, MS. Jim also served five years as Chief Information Officer and Corporate Controller for River Oaks Furniture, a manufacturing company in Tupelo. Jim is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of CPA’s. Jim currently serves on the Boards of Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA) Solutions, Delta Trauma Council, United Way of Leflore County and Leflore/Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Jim also currently serves on the MHA Finance Committee and MHA Trauma Committee.
Dawne Holmes – Chief Financial Officer
Dawne Holmes became the Chief Financial Officer in October 2009 after serving as the Controller amd Director of Finance since July 2004. From 1994 to 2004 Dawne served as the Director of Clinic Administration at the hospital. Dawne is a 1990 graduate of Greenwood High School in Greenwood, MS and earned a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree from Mississippi State University in 1994. She is also member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Dodie McElmurray – Chief Operations Officer
Dodie McElmurray, VP-Chief Operations Officer, joined Greenwood Leflore Hospital as the Chief Operating Officer in February 2014. Dodie is a 1992 graduate of Humphreys Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Delta State University in 1997. Dodie’s experience includes 15 years of healthcare management in various roles with the University of Mississippi Medical Center and Beverly Healthcare. Most recently Dodie was the Administrator Clinical Services at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dodie is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and currently serves on the board of the Mississippi Healthcare Executives. Dodie is also member of the Greenwood Rotary Club.
